Monday nights at Peninsula are buzzing!
Our 36 beginners and several refreshers/repeaters have been coming along Monday nights and/or Thursday mornings to learn/relearn the wonderful mind game of Bridge.
At the last lesson this week, our President, Sarah Young, came along to say Hi – most of the students are keen to join as members and start coming along to supervised sessions to practice play.
Sarah also chatted with our regular Monday night supervised players (10 tables) and took the opportunity to recognise Susan Falkingham’s recent ABF Teacher Accreditation.
Our graduating beginners are now going to start practising play at the regular supervised sessions on Monday nights, Tuesday afternoons, and Thursday and Friday mornings.
Our improvers and competitive players have the opportunity to attend the Joan Butts’ workshop on Entries to advance their play – Saturday 8 Apr 9.30–11.30am, followed by a duplicate game at 12.30pm with hand analysis led by Joan Butts and Cath Whiddon, along with a glass of wine and cheese, at 4pm.
The Bridge Education team is also hosting a Harlequin Teams event on the last Friday in April, 28 Apr, at 12.30pm – see the noticeboard for sign-up details.
