26 Peninsula players played at the Tomaree Congress recently, mostly in the Restricted division, with some success.
It is a low-key congress of about 32 tables and in a nice place (Nelson Bay). It is played as one field but with a Restricted division. Congratulations to those who did well:
In the pairs on Saturday, Leofric & Pauline Kingsford-Smith; Kirsten Van Den Berg & Murray Colderick and Di Agostino & Eva Pendel came 18th, 19th and 20th and were not only the best restricted pairs overall but were also the top placed Peninsula pairs (including the Open players).
In the teams on Sunday, Christine Banham, Grahame Elith, Di Agostino & Eva Pendel were the top Restricted team and came 12th overall with Michael Green, Vibeke Faurby, Kirsten Van Den Berg & Murray Colderick 14th.
In the Open division, Lyn Smith, Cath Whiddon, Vivien Eldridge & Sachiko Cathcart came 7th and Lidy Seysener, Susan Jensen, Bronwyn Neal & Simon Hunter came 10th.
