Congratulations to some members with recent successes.
At the Central Coast Golden Anniversary Congress:
- Sandy Carter and her brother Terry Bodycote won the Matchpoint Pairs on Thu/Fri 19/20 Mar.
- Mandy Macdonald and Vibeke Faurby were the best placed Novice Pair in the Swiss Pairs (18th out of 54 overall).
We ran two qualifying sessions for the State Mixed Pairs finals to be held in May. These were normal Monday afternoon sessions and interestingly the top 3 pairs overall were all 'mixed'. They were:
- Sachiko Cathcart & Hans Van Weeren
- Susan Eason & Simon Hunter
- Alan Davies & Vivien Eldridge
The top two pairs who choose to enter the finals have 50% of their entry fee subsidised by the club. Thanks to Max Paterson for directing.
