We are going to run a Teams day on Sunday 16th April, also as a farewell to Nelson Heather.
It will be similar to before: 10am start playing 4 x 9 board rounds, finish around 3pm.
This time:
- book as a pair. We will make up the teams from the pairs, trying to place a more and a less experienced pair together, so it will be a form of Harlequin Teams. Bookings open now.
- if you are a single, put yourself in the booking sheet. If you are interested in playing with a single who has registered, contact them to discuss if you will play together. We can't guarantee a single will be able to play but will try.
- if you are booked in (as at the 14th), it is important you turn up! Of course, you can withdraw beforehand.
- since it is Harlequin Teams, everyone will play the Basic/Green system card to make it fair - but good play will be rewarded!
- we are not going to provide lunch but ask people to bring a plate of something to share.
- have a quick drink afterwards to celebrate/commiserate our departure.

BASIC SYSTEM CARD DEFINITION
- Transfers to the majors and Stayman.
- Gerber and both normal and Roman Key card Blackwood (must be alerted) and Quantitative NT allowed.
- Takeout and Penalty doubles. Responder's Negative double for takeout allowed.
- Strong 2C and weak 2 D/H/S and 3 and 4 level pre-emptive openings.
- No Jacoby 2NT, Bergen raises, Splinters, Multi-2s, Montreal Relay.
- No Michaels cue bid, Unusual 2NT, Cue bids, inverted minors, fourth suit forcing.
- Only low like/high hate attitude signaling. No Mckenney, odds/evens etc.
